THINGS TO HAVE CONTROL OVER IN A WORLD OF NO CONTROL

Over the years the realization has hit  that a huge anxiety trigger for me is feeling out of control. We've chatted about this before, but I joke about it a lot because, oooh the irony. What do we really have control over in life? Not the way people perceive us or the change in the weather or why we just got cut off on the freeway.



I've come to terms with the fact that we are really not in control of anything except ourselves. The way we carry ourselves, the way we react to situations... THAT'S what we can control & THAT'S what matters:

+ You can control how you react to negativity, either by creating more negativity or simply quietly walking away from it.
+ You can control your outfits, thank you.
+ The world may be a mess right now, but you control how you react by taking action. Donate to a cause, attend a march, whatever you can do.
+ The way you carry yourself & want to change and grow. There is always room for improvement and that's something always in our control.
+ You can control how many episodes of a binge watch rabbit hole you go down, & some days you just need all of them.
+ Accept the things you can't control, as the prayer goes.
